General information

If you are part of an amateur radio club, one of the most interesting projects you can take on is receiving telemetry directly from a satellite in orbit. At IICAT we support students and radio amateurs interested in this kind of initiative, serving as a point of technical support.

MRZN is an amateur radio satellite: everything it transmits is open for anyone to receive and decode. This section explains how.

What you receive shows how the satellite is doing and what it is doing: its battery status and temperatures, its operating mode, its Morse beacon, the QSL card, weather data and images of Earth. You don't need to be an aerospace engineer or have a large station to get started in amateur radio.

On the following pages you will find the regulatory framework, the technical parameters of each transmission, the recommended equipment and the collaborative networks where you can share what you receive.
