Architecture and subsystems: it integrates the on-board computer (OBC), the electrical power subsystem (EPS), the UHF radio, the attitude sensors and actuators, and a camera that takes images of Earth. MRZN carries no payloads unrelated to the amateur radio service.

Low Earth orbit (LEO) operation: once released from the International Space Station, it deploys its antenna after the mandatory waiting period and stays in radio silence until the control station authorizes it to transmit during scheduled windows.
