Radioclub-IICAT

Provide the technical and regulatory support needed to train the community in tracking satellite missions and receiving telemetry from ground stations.

The Research Institute of Applied and Technological Sciences (IICAT) serves as a support platform so that radio amateurs, students and researchers can take an active part in receiving data from CubeSat missions. This initiative includes:

  • Providing the necessary guidance on regulatory requirements and amateur radio licensing for operating ground stations.
  • Defining the essential technical parameters and the specifications of the equipment needed to capture and decode satellite signals.
  • Facilitating integration into global collaborative networks for the continuous tracking of university satellites and amateur radio missions.
  • Promoting hands-on training in space communications, making telemetry reception an accessible and educational experience.
